Grab a partner. Pick a charity. 3…2…1… GO!
It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or if you’ve been doing this for years — this is an event for everybody. Two-person, same-sex teams will compete in a friendly environment against fellow CFA and CFFC members only — this event is NOT open to the public! Your CFA and CFFC coaches will be on hand running the event and encouraging you all along the way, so what are you waiting for?
Everyone’s competing for their favorite charity. The winners of each division will get to direct which charities receive the proceeds of this event! Raise money for your favorite cause!
They’ll be announced shortly — stay tuned!
This is an all-day team competition with same-sex partners consisting of three workouts. Each team’s rank for each workout will count towards that team’s total points for the competition, and the five teams with the lowest number of points will advance to the championship workout. Points for the championship workout are doubled, and added to each team’s points total for the day, which means that winning the championship workout does not automatically mean winning the competition, as it will depend on the teams’ points totals coming into the final workout.
For example, if Team A finishes in 3rd place, 11th place, and 1st place in the first three workouts, that team would earn 15 total points. If Team B finishes 4th place, 4th place, and 5th place, that team would earn 13 total points and would be ranked higher than Team A, despite Team A placing higher in the first and third workouts. If both teams advance to the championships, and Team A finishes in 2nd place and Team B finishes in 4th place, Team A would add four points, for a total of 19 points, while Team B would add eight points, for a total of 21 points. In this example, Team A would finish higher in the standings than Team B.
Ties in workouts, unless otherwise stated, will be given the same number of place points. For example, a three-way tie at 2 will result in all three competitors getting two points. However, the next competitor down will be scored as if the other competitors had not tied (in this example, getting a rank of 5 rather than 3).
A tie in overall standings will be broken in favor of the competitor receiving the largest number of highest placings. For example, two competitors are tied, but Competitor #1 had two 1st place finishes, and Competitor #2 had only one 1st place finish, then Competitor #1 will place over Competitor #2. If there are an equal number of first place finishes, then it will go down to 2nd, 3rd, and so on.
The most important piece of information! The after-party will be held once again at Samuel Beckett’s in Shirlington. Thanks to Beckett’s for their generous support of our competitions!
In the days leading up to the event, all registered athletes will receive an email with details in terms of on-site check-in, logistics, etc. Keep an eye on your inbox!

We can make it happen! Just email Brian and let him know what division you’re interested in. It won’t be a problem at all to make sure you can get in on the action!
